Samsonite Luggage - Samsonite Silhouette for serious travel

Why carry your luggage carefully down the stairs if you can just through it off the balcony and save yourself the hassle? As a teenager my parents would ask us, their dutiful children to pack our van up when it was time to leave a hotel. Naturally as kids we wanted to do the least amount of work possible and have the most fun at it. My younger brother was an incredible "luggage packer". He could fit more luggage into a automobile in a careful, responsible, systematic way than anyone I have ever known. So naturally my older brother and I excluded him from packing the car so we could toss my parents luggage over the balcony and save ourselves from lugging suitcases up and down the stairs. The few pieces of luggage my parents owned where chosen to withstand stunts like this. They usually chose Samsonite! Our Samsonite luggage withstood all sorts of torture. Never once did a suitcase explode its contents all over the sidewalk. Lucky for us. But today's wheeled luggage and carryon luggage means no more "lugging". Samsonite luggage and Atlantic luggage have truly perfected the "easy to carry case". They tend to be light weight and glide easily up and down stairs. The generous compartment sizes still packs well in a car. And although I would not recommend it I think that some of the new Samsonite luggage pieces such as the Samsonite Silhouette could still withstand the old "balcony test".
