Luggage Review:

Leather luggage and waterfalls:

Some people should own leather luggage and others should not. While on expedition in Peru I was invite to observe and indigenous wedding to take photos and do a little story for a magazine I was working for at the time. The woman being married was the daughter of a very important tribal member which meant there was a little money to throw around the occasion. The money was spent on American bridal wear which gave the entire ceremony a somewhat surreal feel. The presentation of the couple was done at a landmark small waterfall. I stood on the rocks at the mouth of the waterfall trying to get some great shots when I slipped. The water fall was no more than a very steep and rocky waterslide so I came out uninjured which is more than I can say for my camera and film. My very sexy Bosco leather bag was soaked and pouring water like a 5 gallon bucket. I was very embarrassed and apologetic, luckily these ceremonies are not very solemn so my accident was more like welcome entertainment to the wedding party. But, this is why I am such a big fan of Bosco leather luggage. I went back to my camp and dried out my bag and its contents. It was a little over a week before I could oil the bag. When I did, it came back to its luster. Five years later, I still get compliments on the bag to this day. Now its debatable whether I should be allowed to own leather luggage but the few pieces I have - I love.
