What kind of storage space is available on a cruise for my luggage?

Royal, Norwegian, Princess? What kind of storage space can you expect from a cruise line. Large ships have more storage space than smaller ones and of course larger rooms have more space than say an "Interior Double". But it is safe to say when it comes to extra space for luggage there isn't any.
