1. Your
carry on luggage is your travel companion and there are
a few items you can add to your carry on luggage to make
your travel experience more enjoyable. When enduring a

2. Where’s
my luggage? My husband is famous for his overstuff carry
on luggage because he fears he will arrive at his
destination with no luggage at the luggage pick up.
Instead of subjecting yourself to overloaded luggage –
try a clearly documented luggage tag for everything
including your carry on luggage. If it is a small flight
your carry on luggage will need to go underneath the
plane. Remember on small flights you are responsible for
carrying your own luggage from flight to flight.

Uncomfortable airplane seats? Schedule a massage when
you arrive at your hotel. If you stay at spa this is
much easier that trying to find a massage therapist or
health club in a strange town.
4. Don’t
suffer through starvation or inedible airplane food,
most carry on luggage has a “water proof” pocket. Just
perfect for food and drinks. Today’s carry on luggage
has all sorts of special pockets for lap tops and ipods
that will save you from that unwatchable video. Consider

5. If you
are traveling anywhere you will need your driver’s
license. Keep it with you in your carry on luggage. If
you are traveling outside of the US you will need a
passport. You can’t just pick one up at the airport like
a diet Coke. This will require some planning. Your carry
on luggage will not apply for a passport for you but it
will have an easy access pocket just for your license

Airlines are decreasing
leg space and carry on luggage space. The larger
your carry on luggage is the longer it takes to
get through security. But nothing is worse than
arriving at you destination and discovering your
